Augusta Technical College announces keynote speaker for spring commencement

Augusta Technical College has recently announced Dr. Raphael Bostic as the keynote speaker for the spring 2024 commencement ceremony.

Augusta Technical College has recently announced Dr. Raphael Bostic as the keynote speaker for the spring 2024 commencement ceremony. 

Bostic is currently the 15th president and chief executive officer of the Federal Bank Reserve of Atlanta, making him responsible for all bank activities. This includes monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and payment services. Bostic serves on the Federal Open Market Committee, which is the monetary policymaking body of the Federal Reserve System. 

The Augusta Technical College commencement ceremony will be on Friday, May 31 at 6 p.m. at the James Brown Arena. Students must complete all requirements of the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia and Augusta Technical College’s Board of Directors and be certified by the registrar as meeting all academic requirements. 

Students from the Adult Education program and the Schools of Art and Sciences, which includes programs such as advanced manufacturing and engineering technology, business, cyber and design media, health sciences and public and professional services make up this year’s graduating class. 

The guest pastor for the commencement will be Bishop Mark Walden. He will give the invocation and benediction for the ceremony.
