Augusta Technical College announces new dean of academic affairs

Augusta Technical College has recently announced LeAnne M. Lovering as the new dean of academic affairs. She will begin on May 1. 

Lovering has over 24 years of experience in academic leadership and program management. She has a bachelor of business administration in marketing and a master of business administration in management from Augusta University. Lovering has led and served numerous college-wide committees, which includes areas of curriculum management, strategic planning, institutional assessment, compliance, local and regional accreditation, retention, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lovering has served as the state chair of the Business Technology Instructional Faculty Consortium Committee, leading the state-wide curriculum and program development efforts. She has also served as Augusta Technical College’s Quality Enhancement Plan director. Lovering was also part of the Inaugural Class of the President’s Leadership Institute. 

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Dean of Academic Affairs at Augusta Technical College,” says Lovering. “I look forward to collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders to further advance the institution’s mission of academic excellence and innovation.”
