As part of Augusta Technical College’s 60th anniversary, a day of fun, games and information was held Sept. 25 on the campus in south Augusta.

“Augusta Technical College is excited about our 60th anniversary. We are celebrating today with The Gathering,” said Jermaine Whirl, president of Augusta Technical College. “We have many of our community partners, food trucks, a health fair and a Kidszone.”

Also, prospective students could speak to admissions and financial aid counselors.

“This is an opportunity to see the programs of study in action and hands-on opportunities. Go Cougars,” he said.

Special programs included a cake walk from the culinary arts department, a hair show from the cosmetology department, the educycle from chemistry, welding how-tos and automotive technology exhibitions.
