Augusta Technical College (Augusta Tech) has recently recognized its outstanding employees during the 2024 convocation. These employees display the institution’s values, which include excellence, inclusiveness, innovation, integrity, and responsibility.

The 2024 convocation was held at the Jack B. Patrick Information Technology Center at Augusta Tech.

The following staff members received the following awards:

  • Raymond McKinley Outstanding Staff Member of the Year: Latoya Ward, assistant director of Financial Aid
  • President’s Award for Excellence in Building & Grounds Maintenance: Chris Gay, supervisor of Facilities, Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial
  • George Hardy Outstanding Administrator Award: Angela Moseley, dean of Adult Education
  • President’s Award for Innovation and Operational Excellence: Kittie Clark, compliance coordinator
  • Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award: Ronnie Curtis, Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, T.R. Reddy School of Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology
  • Outstanding Service Awards: Monica Jones, Student Affairs assistant, Kaylei Martin, coordinator of Campus Life and Student Activities and Dr. Ebony Story, department head of Nursing, Practical Nursing, and Nurse Aid

“These exceptional individuals exemplify the values and commitment to excellence that define Augusta Technical College,” said Dr. Jermaine Whirl, president. “Their hard work and dedication have a profound impact on our students, faculty, and staff, creating a positive and nurturing environment for everyone.”
