Augusta University (AU) President Russell T. Keen has named Jeff Snow the new executive vice president for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement following a comprehensive national search.
Snow, who will assume the role on Aug. 26, brings over 30 years of experience in higher education development and alumni relations, having led successful fundraising and community engagement initiatives at several institutions, according to a press release from AU.
Currently the vice president of University Advancement at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), Snow has played a pivotal role in the development and growth of the university’s advancement programs.
Notably, he spearheaded MSOE’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign, the $125 million Next Bold Step Campaign, raising $91 million to date, including substantial funding for the Robert D. Kern Engineering Innovation Center.
“I am honored to be selected to serve in this role at Augusta University,” Snow said. “I look forward to collaborating with alumni, donors, and community partners to further the university’s mission and to support strategic initiatives under President Keen’s inspiring leadership.”
Snow’s successful tenure at MSOE also includes securing significant gifts for campus projects, such as the Dwight and Dian Diercks Computational Science Hall and the WE Energies STEM Center, as well as launching community engagement programs and enhancing alumni relations through events like Homecoming and MSOE Giving Day.
His career has spanned development positions at Valdosta State University and Georgia Southern University, where he gained familiarity with Georgia’s higher education landscape, according to a press release from AU.
Snow’s prior work also includes directing a $110 million capital campaign at the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and significantly growing the donor base and annual giving at the University of Central Florida.
“Jeff’s vision and leadership have made a tremendous impact wherever he has served,” President Keen said. “His track record of driving engagement and securing philanthropic support aligns with our mission at Augusta University.”
Snow earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Valdosta State University, a master’s in education from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.
“I look forward to working alongside him to continue enhancing the experiences of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni,” Keen said.
Additionally, Tina Baggott, who has served as interim vice president for Development, will continue her leadership role as Executive Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Economic Development after Snow officially begins his tenure.
