Green began her head coaching career at AU and has been the coach since 2017. In her five seasons, Green holds a 44-81 record and has led the Jaguars to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament twice, before losing in the first round both times.
“It was hard to leave because of the relationships I built with my players and the direction the program was going,” Green said. “The Peach Belt is the best Division II women’s basketball conference in the country. I will also miss the support from the community, it continues to grow from year to year and I really appreciated those genuine relationships in the community.”

Green will now move on to Wake Forest where she will be the assistant coach under head coach Megan Gebbia.
“It is great opportunity for me and was presented to me by a coach that recruited me out of high school,” Green said. “I am excited to work under her staff and compete in the best conference in Division I women’s basketball.”
As for the Jaguars, assistant coach Celeste Stewart will be named the interim head coach for the upcoming season. Stewart has been the assistant coach at AU for three seasons under Green. Green says she is very excited Stewart will be named the interim head coach and that it is huge for the consistency of the players.
