As most people celebrated New Years Day with resolutions and parties, some families were lucky enough to start 2025 with a new addition into the world.
Doctors Hospital of Augusta, located at 3651 Wheeler Road, was proud to welcome their first New Year’s baby Levi Okuko at 12:11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Later in the day, Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center, located at 1225 Walton Way, also welcomed a newborn.
Joining the world at 11:18 a.m., little Yazlin Maguey was born weighing six pounds and five ounces, and standing at 19.5 inches tall.
“Happy New Year,” stated a press release from Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.
