An Augusta woman spent her fourth day in jail Sunday for allegedly jumping on a school bus and cursing at the driver and children, authorities said.
Carneshia Collier, 36, of Augusta, was charged Thursday with disrupting public school and criminal trespass. A motive is unclear.
A school bus was stopped just outside Norris Place Apartments at 6:25 a.m. Thursday on Murphy Road when Collier stepped on board. She began cursing at the driver and the children, authorities said.
The bus driver told Collier to get off, but she continued to curse and claimed she would fight anybody, stating that “the little girl was going to have to fight” and “her momma was going to have to fight,” authorities said.

Collier’s actions led to her arrest the same day. She was booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, where she has been unable to meet the requirements of a $3,600 bond for release.
Collier has a lengthy criminal record. Previous convictions include shoplifting in 2005, criminal damage to property in 2006, simple battery and giving false information in 2022, and driving with a suspended license and obstruction of an officer in 2022. She received probation in each case.
