Augustans plan sit-in to demand action from Congressman Rick Allen

Local activists and community members are organizing a peaceful sit-in on Thursday morning, Feb. 27, at the Augusta satellite office of Congressman Rick Allen.

The demonstration, set to begin at 9 a.m. at 2743 Perimeter Parkway, Unit 105, aims to demand a public town hall and accountability from the District 12 representative.

The event is supported by organizations including Indivisible CSRA, the League of Women Voters of the CSRA, Georgia Shift Action, and the CSRA Good Trouble Coalition.

From the event poster, organizers emphasize that their voices have gone unheard for too long and are calling on constituents to join in solidarity to amplify their concerns.

Participants are encouraged to bring a friend to increase the visibility and impact of the message.
