Starting Friday, Feb. 3, the 18th annual Home and Garden Show begins at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.

Free of charge for all, the first 100 people will receive a free Home Depot bucket at the weekend-long show that will feature multiple displays centered around various home projects – such as kitchen and bathroom improvement, roof and gutter care, windows, decks and more.

Participants can also get advice from experts of Asclepias and More, or from local legend and interior designer Michael Siewert, also known as “Signature Mike.”

With aisles and aisles of exhibits and demonstrations, including live cooking presentations, attendees will be able to talk with all kinds of experts in order to efficiently and safely improve their homes during the new year.

Additional booths will include an art and gourmet marketplace full of local artisans and vendors, as well as the Southern Souls Rescue. Attendees can stop and enjoy professionally made snacks while resting, pursue high-quality home and art decor or adopt and bring home a fluffy friend for the family.

Throughout the convention shows, appearances will also be made by the Augusta GreenJackets’ baseball mascot “Auggie.”

For those with interested children, families can also participate in a “Plant a Seed” kid seminar hosted by Home Depot. Prepare for spring, and learn gardening tips and essentials alongside family and friends.

With so many sponsors, vendors, and businesses involved, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The convention, hosted at Augusta’s Marriott, will be open on Friday at 2 to 6 p.m. at Two Tenth St. The Home and Garden Show will run on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
