Authorities respond to bomb threat at Bon Air Apartments

Authorities responded to a bomb threat at the Bon Air Apartments on Walton Way on Wednesday, April. 3.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in at 8:48 a.m. When deputies arrived they evacuated the building. The bomb squad and K-9 units are at the scene.

At 10:10 a.m., RCSO sent out a press release announcing that the all clear has been given.

“The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office EOD Units have determined no hazards were located and no explosive odors were detected.  The scene has been released and turned back over to the Bon Air Apartments at this time.  No further information available,” RCSO said.
