Bank of America has recently announced that they will continue to provide economic mobility grant to the Aiken Technical College (ATC) Foundation in support of ATC students.
Bank of America has donated $10,000, and it will go towards the ATC Foundation’s Student Completion Microgrants Program. Students who have completed at least 75% of their program but may not be able to complete it due to financial reasons are eligible for these microgrants.
“Partnering with Aiken Technical College to address important issues like workforce development and employment is part of our commitment to creating sustainable change in our community,” said Ora Parish, president of Bank of America Augusta-Aiken. “Investing in Augusta-Aiken organizations demonstrates how Bank of America is taking action to provide the resources and support needed to help build thriving communities long-term.”
These microgrants have positively impacted ATC students.
“Receiving this grant has alleviated a significant financial burden and has allowed me to continue my education with a greater sense of focus and dedication,” said Kendra Tucker, ATC student in a thank you note to Bank of America. “I am truly honored and grateful for this generous financial assistance.”
“Working full-time and going to school while having a family is not for the faint of heart,” said John Kelly, ATC student. “Every little bit helps with this desire to finally finish my degree after so many years. So, thank you to all those who have helped me along this journey.”
Microgrants recipients will also receive free holistic student support services like tutoring, student coaching, counseling, and career services.
