Beer and comedy offered during annual Brew Ha-Ha event

The Brew Ha-Ha event will take place on Oct. 26 at Miller Theater.

The annual Brew Ha-Ha: A Celebration of Craft Beer and Comedy event will return to Miller Theater on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Participants will enjoy a beer from the Craft Beer Garden outside of Miller Theater on Broad St., starting at 4 p.m. Then, they will go inside and enjoy a comedy show inside the Miller Theater at 7 p.m. Participants are asked to wear their funniest costume, and the funniest costume will be awarded a special prize.

The 2024 Brew Ha-Ha comedians will be Brent Blakeney and Shaun Jones.

Blakeney is a comedian from Raleigh, N.C. He began his comedy career in 2011 and has had the opportunity to work with well-known comedians like Brian Regan, Bill Burr, Iliza Schlesinger, Bruce Bruce among many others.

In 2015, Blakeney opened a comedy show for “Last Comic Standing” winner, Jon Reep. In 2018, he won Kenan Thompson’s “Road to NYC” contest, winning a showcase at the historic Caroline’s on Broadway.

Johnson is a comedian from New Jersey. He has traveled abroad, entertaining people with funny stories from his personal life experiences. Johnson has appeared on several television shows including, “1st Amendment Standup,” “Partners In Crime-the-next generation,” and The Mo’Nique Show. He was also in the 2003 movie “Shade.”

The Miller Member ticket pre-sale will begin on Wednesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. Public tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m.
