Bicyclist struck and killed on Deans Bridge Road

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office responded to a fatal incident involving a bicyclist on Deans Bridge Road in Hephzibah on Wednesday evening.

Troneisha Holiday, 36, was riding her bike south of Morgan Road when she was struck by a vehicle, Coroner Mark Bowen said. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:04 p.m., he said.

The coroner said she lived on the 3600 block of Deans Bridge Road, the same block where she was killed. No autopsy will be performed.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
