The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will discuss a contract with RW Allen Construction for work on the Performing Arts Center Support Facility during Tuesday’s meeting.

The Management and Internal Services Committee discussed this item and moved it to the full Board of Commissioners because District 1 Commissioner Connie Melear will need to abstain herself from the vote due to her working at RW Allen Construction.

There were eight bids, and RW Allen came in at the lowest at $9.7 million. Staff is recommending approval.

The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at the Evans Government Center Complex. To view the full agenda, visit columbiacountyga.gov.
