The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will discuss a variance for the proposed Parker’s Kitchen at the intersection of Washington Road and Bobby Jones Parkway.
According to the agenda document, staff is recommending approval with conditions for the request for the variance to the remove the structural buffer and separation requirements along shared lot lines with residentially zoned property at 3900 Washington Road.
The conditions include that the lighting will be shield and directed away from residential properties. The lighting on the southern end that is behind the building will be designed to as low height as possible while still allowing for safety. The buffers and separation requirements are reduced following the site plan given by EMC Engineering Service, Inc.
The Columbia County Planning Commission voted in favor of the proposal at the June 5 meeting.
