Date: August 16, 2021

The Aiken County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman whose decomposing body was found in June behind an Aiken medical center.

Pamela K. Standridge, 62, had a last known address in Beech Island. Her body was found June 23 in some woods behind Aiken Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates, located at 410 University Parkway in Aiken. Authorities say that a person made the discovery while walking their dog.

Coroner Darryl Ables said Monday that DNA testing was used to make the identification.

“The cause of death remains under investigation,” Ables said. “No foul play is suspected.”
