During Dukes’ Richmond County Superior Court hearing, defense attorney Kelly Williamson asked Judge John Flythe to set bond for Dukes, who has no criminal history.

Assistant District Attorney Kyle Davis asked the judge to deny bond for Dukes. After the shooting at the family’s home on the 1500 block of Central Avenue, Dukes ran from the scene. He wasn’t arrested until two weeks later, Davis said.

Flythe denied bond, finding Dukes could pose a danger to the community and a risk of flight.
