Work continues on Broad Street in downtown Augusta, according to the latest update from public relations firm Paquin.

Currently, crews continue to demolish asphalt and concrete on Broad between St. Sebastian Way and 13th Street. A pipe crew is working in the same area. Sidewalk construction is ongoing between 15th Street and St. Sebastian Way.

Underground utility work is set to begin Monday on Broad between 10th Street and James Brown Boulevard, according to the update.

Starting the week of Oct. 13, work on the medians will limit parking between 10th and 13th streets, starting with 10th Street. Traffic will be limited to a single lane in both directions.

To accommodate this change, motorists unable to park will be directed to the Ninth Street parking deck. In addition, new parking areas are being added. Additional signage is being installed to provide clear directions.
