The health inspection world grades a score below 70 as failing, and while no restaurants scored a failing score, two restaurants did receive 70s in their recent health inspection from June 10-14.
A Town Wings, 2622 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta received the lowest score of 71. Inspector’s comments included: “observed Raid bug spray stored amongst cleaning agents—repeat violation” and “observed employee use his cell phone while wearing gloves and continue on with food prep immediately after—repeat violation.”

Other comments included: “observed several food items (shrimp onion, bell peppers, beef) cold holding above 41 degrees F—repeat violation” and “observed scoop stored in sugar.”
The second lowest score was a 76, and it was received by Wings 2 Go, 2763 Tobacco Road Suite M, Hephzibah. Inspector’s comments included: “observed no certified protection manager,” “observed handwashing sink with no soap,” “observed food stored under chicken that should be over chicken,” “observed food in PTC (bottom section) and WIC not covered,” and “observed food stored on the floor.”
China 8, 2492 Tobacco Road Suite 5, Hephzibah received an 80, the third lowest score. Inspector’s comments included: “observed trash in handwashing sink,” “observed no sanitizer solution available in the store,” “observed TCS food in PTC not being held at 41F or below,” and “observed soy sauce stored on floor.”
