The health inspection world grades a score below 70 as failing, however, no restaurants, pools or hotels received a failing score from inspections conducted on Dec. 29-Jan. 2.
Worst scores
The worst score of the week was an 84 given to Little Caesars Pizza located at 3697 Windsor Spring Road, Hephzibah.
According to the report, points were taken off for “no CFSM, “observed employee drink on prep table, for “build up on can opener,” “clean dishes still appear to (have) build up on them,” for a phone on prep table and for “grease trap not allowing flow water through drains.”
The second lowest score of the week was an 86 that went to Huang Wing Group dba BTJ Wings, 3687 Windsor Springs Road suite 112, Hephzibah. Pois were deducted for “observed food in bottom of PTC not covered,” “observed fish in PTC without prep and discard dates” and “observed cleaner store on same shelf as food.”
The third lowest score of the week was an 89 received by Garden City Social, 1157 Broad St., Augusta. Points were deducted for “Observed paper towels and soap not stocked at handwashing sinks throughout bar area,” “observed missing knob for hot water at handwashing sink in the middle of bar area,” “observed black buildup and residue in bulk ice machine” and “Observed bar area with debris, standing water, and dead bugs on floor.”
