Busby’s Heating & Air has been warming the homes of Augusta residents for years, and this holiday season they are sharing some of that warmth with needy children.
During the months of October and November, Busby Heating & Air held its second annual Coats for Kids drive. On Monday, Dec. 13, employees delivered donated coats to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta for underprivileged children to have during the winter.
This annual coat drive began in 2021 when a friend of Rick Busby’s told him about his company’s involvement with a similar non profit and the impact it had on his community. Being an Augusta native, Busby wanted to bring some of that happiness to his community.

” We cater kids from kindergarten through high school and we had coats for everyone’s size and style. We’re always thankful when someone in the community steps in to help out,” said Communications and Development Manager-Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta Jessie Vintson.
Throughout the years of being in business, Busby’s Heating & Air has made community contributions a key point of company culture. They donate between $1,000 to $3,000 monthly to local non-profits, including Garden City Rescue Mission, Hope House and When Help Can’t Wait. Busby plans to continue giving back as much as possible to the community.
“My main purpose for continuing to grow as a company is to earn money to give back as much as we can,” said Busby.
