  • Columbia County Spring Fair will be April 19-28 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. For more information, visit https://columbiacountyfair.net.

Monday, April 8

  • The DuPont Planetarium, Ruth Patrick Science Education Center, University of South Carolina Aiken, and the Astronomy Club of Augusta will host a viewing party for the solar eclipse. There will be various options for safe viewing of the eclipse on the lawn of the Ruth Patrick Science Education entrance.   • Augusta University Physics Club will hold a viewing for the total solar eclipse at the Christenberry Field House Intramural Field, 3109 Wrightsboro Road. There will be free eclipse glasses while they last and solar telescopes set up to view. The eclipse will begin at 1:49 p.m. and end at 3:50 p.m. 
  • The Richmond County Board of Elections will hold its regular monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. in the Linda Beazley Room of the Municipal Building, 535 Telfair St.
