  • Columbia County Spring Fair will be April 19-28 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. For more information, visit https://columbiacountyfair.net.

  • The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at the Evans Government Center Complex. For more information, visit columbiacountyga.gov.

Wednesday, April 3

  •  The Richmond County School System will hold a walk-in job fair at Robert Howard Community Center, 103 Diamond Lakes Way, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Recruiters and hiring managers will be on-site to conduct interviews and discuss open positions.  

Thursday, April 4

  • As part of the Augusta, Georgia Compliance Department’s Local Small Business Development Workshop Series, the community is invited to attend the Estimating and Bidding 101 Workshop. Monday, April 8

  • The DuPont Planetarium, Ruth Patrick Science Education Center, University of South Carolina Aiken, and the Astronomy Club of Augusta will host a viewing party for the solar eclipse. There will be various options for safe viewing of the eclipse on the lawn of the Ruth Patrick Science Education entrance.   • Heroes for Hope 5k run/walk will take place at 8:30 a.m. at the Lake Olmstead Trailhead. This is a fun, family-friendly event. Adults and kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite superhero costumes and participate in the 5k run, 5k walk, or the Fun Run for kids aged 10 and under.
