  • The Aiken Symphony presents an intimate afternoon of chamber music featuring Schubert’s Octet at 3 p.m. at the Amentum Center for the Performing Arts.

  • The Augusta Land Bank Authority will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Planning and Development conference room, 535 Telfair St., suite 300 in Augusta.

  • The Augusta Commission will hold a budget work session from 2-4 p.m. at the Lee Beard Commission Chamber at Augusta Municipal Building.
  • Criminologist and serial killer expert Dr. Scott Bonn will bring his Serial Killers live show to the Miller Theater. Tickets can be purchased at the box office, or at millertheateraugusta.com.
  • The Central Savannah River Land Trust is throwing a great party for a great cause at its 344-acre Sugarberry Hill preserve at 712 Blanchard Road in Evans. The “Sugarberry Bash” includes oysters, slow-roasted pork, music, cocktails and – most importantly – an opportunity to visit a unique wilderness that will remain intact and undeveloped for generations.   • The Columbia County Board of Elections will meet at 2 p.m. the Appling Warehouse, 205 Range Road, building L, in Appling to conduct a review of election results as received for a pre-certification meeting.
  • The Richmond County Board of Elections will hold the pre-certification meeting at 3 p.m. at the Board of Elections Warehouse at 2025 Lumpkin Road.  The certification meeting and the regular monthly meeting will be held at 4 p.m.

  • Savannah Riverkeeper will hold its inaugural Kids Day with the SRK family fun event. This is a free event that will feature explorations of the Savannah River and the world of bugs, free book giveaways (with registration), fish printing, opportunities to meet with members of the Richmond County Marshal’s Office and the Augusta Fire Department. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the 5th Street Marina Patio in Augusta.
