• Augusta, Georgia’s Independence Day Celebration will be held at the Augusta Commons, starting at 5 p.m. There will be live entertainment, a kids’ fun zone, food trucks, vendors, and more. Fireworks will start at 9:30 a.m.

The Columbia County Sherriff’s Office is hosting a reserve academy for all agencies and pre-service students who want a change of career or want to volunteer as a reserve deputy. It will begin on Aug. 5 and will continue until Dec. It’s free for the student if they are an employee of an agency, but if the student is not by an agency, then the cost is $1,500.

• Zoso, the Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, will perform at Miller Theater. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m. Zoso formed in the mid-90s and have played over 4500 shows since then. They try to play as similarly as possible to the original band. This is part of their latest tour. Zoso is currently celebrating 29 years of being a Led Zeppelin tribute band.
