  • FireK24 will be held at 10 a.m. at Evans Towne Center Park.This will be the 10th year for the event. There will be live music, displays of first responder apparatus, a “firefighter challenge” for the kids, food trucks and more. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Augusta will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gateway Park in Grovetown.   • A reception for Augusta Through Fresh Eyes, an art exhibition celebrating the talent of high school and college students in the CSRA at Sacred Heart Cultural Center, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Great Hall. This event is free to attend. 

Friday, Oct. 11

  • Zoso, the Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, will perform at Miller Theater. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m. Zoso formed in the mid-90s and have played over 4500 shows since then. They try to play as similarly as possible to the original band. This is part of their latest tour. Zoso is currently celebrating 29 years of being a Led Zeppelin tribute band.   • Monster Truck Wars will be held from noon to 7:30 p.m. at 4425 Wilson Road, Hephzibah.America’s Wildest Monster Truck Show is coming to Hephzibah and bringing two shows. Tuesday, Oct. 22

  • The United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants will hold a free concert at Columbia County Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. This is a rare and exciting event to hear great patriotic music, Broadway classics, and as always, a salute to

celebrate our veterans. The U.S. Air Force Band honors those who have served, inspires American citizens to heightened patriotism and service, and connects with the global community on behalf of the U.S. Air Force and the United States of America.   • The Richmond County Board of Education will hold its committee and regular meeting in the board room auditorium at the Board of Education office at 864 Broad St. The committee meeting will start at 4 p.m. and the regular meeting will follow the committee meeting.   • The Salvation Army of Augusta, in partnership with The Kroc Center of Augusta and The Augusta Kroc Church, will hold Kroc Fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free community event promises will feature a variety of activities, including trunk or treat, touch a truck, food trucks, games, bounce houses, and special character appearances by Bluey and a Minion.
