  • The Harlem City Council will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. For more information, visit harlemga.org.

  • The Augusta Commission committees will meet starting at 1 p.m. at the Municipal Building. For more information, visit augustaga.gov.

Wednesday, July 30

  • The Richmond County Board of Education will meet at 10 a.m. for the summer board retreat. The meeting will be held at the Board of Education office. For more information, visit rcboe.org.
  • The Richmond County Board of Elections will hold a special called meeting at 6 p.m. in the Linda Beazley Room, 535 Telfair St.

Friday, Aug. 1

  • The City of Grovetown will hold a National Night Out Back-to-School Bash from 6-9 p.m. at Liberty Park. The city will be handing out free school supplies for children ahead of the school year. There will also be free food and activities. The supplies are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.   • The Augusta Commission will hold a public hearing at 1 p.m. in the Municipal Building to consider the revocation of the business tax certificate (business license) for the Bon Air Apartments and the Richmond Sumit Apartments.

  • North Augusta Public Safety and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a National Night Out event from 4-8 p.m. at 100 Riverview Park Drive in North Augusta.   • Columbia County Parks, Recreation and Events is thrilled to announce “Dancing with the Stars,” a free community event aimed at celebrating self-expression and bringing people of all abilities together through the joy of dance. This inclusive event will take place on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the elegant Windsor Room at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center.
