  • America’s Boating Club Clarks Hill/Thurmond Lake in partnership with the C.A.S.T for Kids Foundation will hold a C.A.S.T. for Kids event at the Dorn Fishing Facility in McCormick, S.C. This will be a free boating and fishing event for children with special needs.  The event is open to all children, ages 6-18, no matter what their disability.  Participants must pre-register online at https://castforkids.org/event/lakethurmond/ and the space is limited to the first 40 children who register.
  • Augusta-Anime Fest Spring 2025 will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Columbia County Exhibition Center. For more information, visit the event Facebook page

Friday, July 4

  • BOOM! in the Park, presented by Bank of America, will be celebrated at Evans Towne Center Park.The festivities begin at 5 p.m and there will be a variety of local food vendors on-site. Guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for an exciting night of music and celebration. There will be live entertainment by Bryce Leatherwood and Maddie & Tae. The night will end with a fireworks display.
