  • The Richmond County Board of Elections will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. in the Linda Beazley Room of the Municipal Building 535 Telfair St.

Tuesday, July 9

  • The Columbia County Board of Education millage rate hearing will take place at 8 a.m. at the Board of Education Office on Hereford Farm Road. This is one of three hearings.
  • The Columbia County Development and Planning Services and Management and Internal Services committees will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium at the Evans Government Center Complex. For more information, visit columbiacountyga.gov.
  • The Augusta Commission has a called legal meeting at 11 a.m. and regular committee meetings starting at 1 p.m. in the Lee Beard Commission Chamber, 535 Telfair St.

  • The Richmond County Board of Education will meet for a called meeting at 3 p.m. to discuss personnel and policy. The meeting will take place in the media center at Richmond Hill Elementary School, 2160 Mura Drive, Augusta, GA 30906.
  • The Richmond County Board of Education will meet for a called Building Committee walk-through at 4 p.m. at Richmond Hill Elementary School, 2160 Mura Drive, Augusta, GA 30906
  • The Columbia County Board of Education millage rate hearing will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Education Office on Hereford Farm Road. This is the second of three hearings.

Wednesday, July 10

  • The Augusta Commission will meet for a work session from 10 a.m. to noon to discuss the jail population in the Linda Beasley Room on the first floor of the Municipal Building.

Thursday, July 11

  • The Harlem Historic Preservation Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the municipal courtroom in the Public Safety Building.
  • Harlem Mayor Roxanne Whitaker and Columbia County District 4 Commissioner Alison Couch will hold a town hall at 6:30 p.m. at Red Oak Manor.

Saturday, July 13

  • Tomato Pie Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Boondock Farms in Jacksonville, S.C. There will be tomato pies, fresh produce, vendors, live music and food trucks. For more information, visit the event Facebook page
  • Downtown Soul City will hold the third annual Camp Soul City, a self-guided shopping and camp themed activity crawl, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can check in at Camp HQ (Augusta & Co., 1010 Broad St., Augusta) to pick up a map and begin the crawl.

  • The Richmond County Board of Education will hold its committee and regular board meeting at 4 p.m. at the Board of Education office. The regular Board will immediately follow the committee meeting.

  • The Augusta Commission will meet for a work session regarding the Land Bank Authority from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Commission Chambers.

  • Zoso, the Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, will perform at Miller Theater. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m. Zoso formed in the mid-90s and have played over 4,500 shows since then. They try to play as similarly as possible to the original band. This is part of their latest tour. Zoso is currently celebrating 29 years of being a Led Zeppelin tribute band.
