Monday, Jan. 20

  • The City of Grovetown will hold its MLK Day Celebration from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Liberty Park. There will be music, entertainment, refreshments, and guest speakers honoring Dr. King’s legacy as part of our program, along with a few words from our featured speaker, Pastor Rex Wright of Oakey Grove Baptist Church.

  • The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will hold the first public hearing at 6 p.m. regarding opting out of the Statewide Adjusted Base Year Ad Valorem Homestead Exemption. The public hearing will be held in the auditorium at the Evans Government Center Complex.
  • Richmond County Board of Education will hold its second public hearing regarding opting out of the Statewide Adjusted Base Year Ad Valorem Homestead Exemption. The public hearing will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office on Broad Street.

Thursday, Jan. 23
