Commissioner Michael Carraway Appointed to the ACCG-IRMA Board of Trustees
Columbia County District 3 Commissioners Michael Carraway has been appointed to the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) – Interlocal Risk Management Agency (ACCG-IRMA) Board of Trustees.
“I’m honored to do it,” Carraway said. “i think that my skill set, because I’m in the insurance business, it’s perfect alignment of my skillset to do it. But definitely honored to be a part of it, it’s a great organization.”
He was appointed for a three-year term that began Jan.1 and will run through Dec. 31, 2027. There will be an opportunity for reappointment at the end of the term.
“Commissioner Carraway’s appointment reflects his dedication to serving Georgia’s counties,” said a press release from Columbia County. “The ACCG-IRMA provides essential property and casualty risk management services to Georgia counties, and Commissioner Carraway’s participation will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding these services, benefiting counties across the state.”
Carraway’s involvement will help the efforts to enhance risk management resources and make sure the program meets the growing needs of counties in Georgia.
