CCBOE Meeting Focuses on Budget Matters, Classroom Upgrades

Date: January 27, 2021

Members of the Columbia County School Board met Tuesday to discuss routine budget matters such as upgrades to the classroom sound systems that will allow for the teachers to have microphones, making it easier for them to talk to students through a mask.

Board members also received an update on the progress of the transportation center on Columbia Industrial Boulevard.

However, the real news for the school system is expected to come on Thursday when the board is expected to announce the new Superintendent. Currently, there are three finalists for the position to replace the retiring Dr. Sandra Calloway.
