Charlie Starr, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the acclaimed Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke, will perform a live, acoustic solo set at Hardin Auditorium on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026.

Starr, who was born in Lanett, Alabama, is best known as the frontman for Blackberry Smoke, an American rock and roll band celebrated for their “blend of country, blues, and rock,” according to a press release from Columbia County.

His distinctive voice, “gritty yet soulful,” has become a defining element of the band’s sound.

The release added that Starr’s “songwriting prowess shines through in Blackberry Smoke’s discography, crafting heartfelt lyrics that resonate with listeners on themes of love, life’s struggles, and the American experience.”

Since forming in Atlanta in 2000, the band has maintained its reputation as a “torchbearer of authentic Southern rock music.”

The concert is being presented by Six String Southern Productions, a Georgia-based independent promoter “fueled by a passion for music” and committed to providing fans with “a unique and enjoyable concert experience,” according to a press release from Columbia County.

Tickets are reserved seating and start at $49.50 plus fees, and go on sale Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m.
