The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a Wednesday shooting involving two juveniles.
According to an email from Sgt. William McCarty, deputies responded to East Augusta Commons, 420 E. Telfair St., at 3:27 pm. Wednesday in reference to a shooting.
“Upon arrival, deputies located a juvenile with a gunshot wound to the leg,” the email said

The victim has been taken to Augusta University Medical Center, and deputies have detained another juvenile in relation to the shooting.
No ages have been released.
McCarty said the investigation is in the early stages and no additional information is available.
