Christmas robber is sought for stealing Augusta man’s truck and pistol at gunpoint

Richmond County authorities have identified one of three armed men wanted for a Christmas Day robbery on Bennock Mill Road.

Jonathan Williams, 30, is wanted for an armed robbery that occurred on the 700 Block of Bennock Mill Road. He is known to frequent McNutt Way and Tracy Drive and is considered armed and dangerous.

A 27-year-old man and his 15-year-old sister were returning home around 8:30 p.m. Saturday when they found three men in their yard with shotguns. The men stole the victim 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which had the girl’s iPhone inside and the man’s semi-automatic pistol.

The girl helped authorities track the abandoned truck to Levee Road using “Find my iPhone” app, but the gun was missing.
