Dublin, Ireland – Pope Leo XIV has two new custom-built electric cars thanks to Club Car.
The two vehicles were developed by Garia, a subsidiary of Club Car, along with Exelentia, an Italian distributor, and the Gendarmerie Corps of Vatican City State. The cars will assist Pope Leo when he is on international visits.
The cars were designed to provide maximum efficiency, agility and security for Pope Leo, according to a press release from Club Car. The vehicles were engineered for global mobility meaning they can be taken on long flights without being dismantled.
Marco Natale, Club Car vice president EMEA, presented the vehicles to Pope Leo at the Pontifical Villas in Castel Gandolfo in Rome,.
“We are deeply honored to have provided our electric vehicles for His Holiness,” said Natale. “It’s a proud moment that reflects the commitment of the Club Car group to sustainable innovation and thoughtful design at the highest level.”
