Colorado coffee shop franchises teases progress on west Augusta location

Ziggi's Coffee is finalizing plans for a location on Furys Ferry Road.

Date: April 14, 2024

A new café is coming to the west Augusta area, just on the edge of Columbia County.

Ziggi’s Coffee has posted on social media its progress developing a new location at 252 Furys Ferry Road. The address is for an undeveloped tract currently owned by C & L Properties Inc., according to property records, in Richmond County.

The coffee shop chain, headquartered in Mead, Colo., first submitted plans for its proposed drive-thru café to Richmond County Planning in the summer of 2023.

Last year was also when Ziggi’s entered several highly-reported franchising deals, including one to open 50 stores in the metro Atlanta area.

Launched in downtown Longmont, Colo. in 2004, the restaurant has opened more than 70 locations nationwide since franchising in 2016, most of them concentrated in the Midwest.

The Facebook page for Ziggi’s Coffee Augusta has responded to inquiries, saying they expect to be open by this summer.
