The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will discuss a resolution for the issuance of revenue anticipation certificates by the Hospital Authority during the meeting on Sept. 5.
“The Hospital Authority proposes to issue its Revenue Anticipation Certificates for the Wellstar Health System project in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $375 million,” according to the agenda document. “The Authority recommends and requests that the Board approve the plan of financing for the issuance of the certificates and the financing and refinancing of the project.”
The staff recommendation is to approve the resolution.
There are several zoning items on the agenda, including major planned unit development (PUD) revisions for three addresses on Laurens Street. All three revisions involve garages. There is also a request to rezone 6697 Washington Road, from C-2 (general commercial) and C-C (community commercial) to C-2 (general commercial) with conditional use for retail package sales of distilled spirits for off-premise consumption.
A presentation of checks from the 2023 Columbia County Fire Rescue boot drive to Community Connections and the Burn Foundation will also take place.
The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at the Evans Government Center Complex. The full agenda can be found at columbiacountyga.gov.
