The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will discuss two rezonings during their meeting on Tuesday.

First is a major revision to the planned united development (PUD) at 650 Industrial Park Blvd. According to the agenda document, it is a revision to the site layout and to adopt a new narrative for commercial use at that location. According to the narrative, there will be a mix of commercial and retail uses, and the proposed site will include two buildings for a total of 10,000 to 20,000 square, along with parking lot and sidewalks that connect to existing facilities. Staff is recommending approval.

The other revision is to revise the setbacks for 3566 Gordon Highway for three new mobile homes and establish setbacks for the whole development. According to the agenda document, Elizabeth Woods, the applicant, said her goal is to sell affordable homes and improve the mobile home community, along with replacing the older mobile homes with mobile homes that are larger.

Commissioners will discuss a resolution to amend the fee schedule for Health Department environmental fees. This is the second reading of the item, according to the agenda document

The Public Facilities Authority will also meet on Tuesday to discuss issuance of revenue bonds for the City of Harlem. The city is seeking to finance multiple projects, work on the parks and recreation facilities, work on the public works facility and taking action, including acquisition, demolition and renovation or construction on dilapidated properties. The total amount of financing is $4 million.

The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 in the auditorium at the Evans Government Center complex. The Public Facilities Authority will meet at 4 p.m. in the commissioners conference room on the second floor of building B on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
