The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will recognize the Greenbrier High School flag football team during the meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The flag football team will be presented a proclamation recognizing the team winning the 2023 Division II State Championship.
“Whereas, the Flag Football Team played an outstanding season to become the first team in the
CSRA to win a state championship since the Georgia High School Association adopted the sport 4 years ago,” the proclamation states in part.
Commissioners will also discuss a conditional use for a gym at 454 Columbia Industrial Blvd. According to the agenda document, the business is owned by Dr. Nicholas DeAngelo, who specializes in interventional pain management, and the main purpose of the gym is for functional restoration and personal training.
