Columbia County Board of Elections certifies election results

The Nov. 4 election results have been certified by the Columbia County Board of Elections.

The certification happened during the Nov. 10 Board of Elections meeting. Prior to the certification, the board approved 12 of the 14 provisional ballots. Nancy Gay, executive director for the Columbia County Board of Elections, said one was not approved because the person did not bring their identification to the Board of Elections in time and the other was not approved because they could not find proof of the person being registered to vote in the system.

For the Nov. 4 election, Columbia County had a voter turnout of 19.51%, which means that out of 110,500 registered voters, 21,562 cast ballots. The official results for the Nov. 4 in Columbia County are as follows:

Columbia County Board of Commissioners District 2

Grovetown City Council (vote for 2)
