Columbia County Commission Has Quiet Meeting

Columbia County announces the opening of Gateway Boulevard Extension

The Columbia County Board of Commissioners had an uneventful meeting on Tuesday evening.

Every member of the board agreed on the consent agenda that consisted of the Clarks Hill Committee of the CSRA Bass Tournaments Agreement, Georgia Power Lighting Agreement for Gateway Blvd. Roundabout and multiple Quitclaim Deeds of Release. Acceptance of the Revised Plat for River Oaks Subdivision Phase 1A was on the consent agenda too.

There was no debate on the withdrawal of a major revision to the current PUD (Planned Unit Development) for aSubdivision off of Furys Ferry. The board agreed to the first reading to establish a street light at Greenpoint.

Haley Knight is a senior Communication major at Augusta University where she serves as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, the Bell Ringer.
