The purchasing of multiple county vehicles will be up for discussion by the Columbia County Development and Planning Services Committee on Tuesday.

According to the agenda document, the county is looking to purchase 24 vehicles for multiple departments, including the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Park Operations and Roads and Bridges.

The committee will also discuss an alcoholic beverage license from Eggs Up Grill to sell beer, wine, and distilled spirits for on premise consumption from 1202 Town Park Lane.

Staff is recommending approval of the item.

Management and Internal Services Committee

The Management and Internal Services will discuss approval of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) relating to the use of Columbia County data network and security practices.

“A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is typically used when a party may, through the course of a contractual engagement with Columbia County, receive access to sensitive materials related to county data, networks, or security practices. The NDA attached to this agenda item provides a way for the county to place a legal constraint on anyone who has been engaged to work with or for the county, so that they are not permitted to share any security- sensitive information to which they have gained access. There is no cost related to the implementation of the NDA,” according to the agenda document.

Staff is recommending approval.

The committee will also discuss committee meeting dates for November and December.

For November, staff is recommending the MIS and DPS committees be cancelled due to them falling on Veterans Day, which is a holiday.

For December, staff is recommending that all four committee meetings be held on Dec. 9.

Staff is recommending approval of the meeting changes.

The Committees will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 9 starting at 8:30 a.m. To view the full agendas, visit columbiacountyga.gov.
