Columbia County Parks, Recreation & Events is inviting families from across the region to celebrate spring at the annual Easter Egg Scramble, a free and festive event packed with fun activities for kids of all ages.
Scheduled for Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Patriots Park, the Easter Egg Scramble will feature over 55,000 colorful eggs scattered across the park in two separate egg hunts, designed to create a safe and age-appropriate experience for children:
- Ages 0–4: Egg hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. (line-up at 10 a.m.)
- Ages 5 and up: Egg hunt begins at 12:30 p.m. (line-up at noon)
Beyond the egg hunts, attendees can enjoy a wide variety of activities including free photos with the Easter Bunny, a screening of “Peter Rabbit” 2 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and a selection of tasty treats from local food trucks.
Admission is free, and all are encouraged to bring their Easter baskets and bunny ears to fully embrace the spirit of the day.
Inclusive celebration on April 18
In addition to the main event, Columbia County will host an “Eggstra Special” Easter celebration on Friday, April 18, designed especially for children with special needs. Held at the Market Pavilion, this sensory-friendly event offers a welcoming and accessible environment for every child to enjoy Easter festivities.
