Columbia County preparing for second annual Beer Fest

Date: August 27, 2024

Following the success of Beer Fest last year, Columbia County will hold the second annual event in October.

Janet Wheatley, programs and events manager for Columbia County, said the attendance during the first year was good and there were requests to hold the event again.

“We’ve added in some new breweries in addition to some of the ones we had last year for this year,” Wheatley said. “So just same time of year, same timeframe, new entertainment, but just trying some new things. It was a really good first year, so we’re hoping this year will be just as good, if not better.”

This year there will be entertainment by Ryan Trotti, Wheatley said. There will be over 150 types of beer to sample from local, regional and national breweries, so there will be something for everyone.

“Whether you’re a craft beer connoisseur or you’re just looking  for something new, you can come out and experience here for the beer at Evans Beer Fest,” Wheatley said.

Beer Fest will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 12. Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door. The first 200 tickets are being sold for $35 and a few are still available. For more information, visit https://www.evansbeerfest.com.
