Lakeside Middle School and Greenbrier High School suffered an ongoing Google search issue involving name changes for the schools, according to a statement released by the Columbia County School District.

Rumored to be a senior prank, Lakeside Middle School’s name on Google has been edited to “The better Middle School.”

School district officials stated that they were made aware of the error and have contacted Google about the name change.

“The Columbia County School District has no control over business search results created and maintained by Google,” the press release stated. “At the time, we are awaiting a response from Google as the Columbia County School District has no control over when Google will revert the site back to the correct name.

Due to its offensive nature, TAP will not be publishing the edited name of Greenbrier High School.
