Columbia County schools to close out semester with multiple band and chorus performances

Columbia County schools are heading into one of their most active fine arts stretches of the year, with band, chorus, and combined performance nights scheduled throughout December. Families across the district will have several opportunities to hear students perform everything from winter band pieces to chorus holiday performances.

Below is a list of upcoming music-centered events, including band performances, chorus concerts, and Fine Arts Night programs:

MONDAY, DEC. 8

• Evans High – winter band concert, 6–7 p.m.

TUESDAY, DEC. 9

• Evans Middle – band concert (6th–8th Grade), 5:30–6 p.m. (hosted at Evans High)
• Grovetown Middle – fine arts night, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
• Evans Middle – Christmas chorus concert, 6–6:30 p.m.
• Harlem Middle – winter choral concert, 6–6:30 p.m.
• Riverside Middle – winter chorus concert, 6:30–7 p.m.
• Greenbrier High – band concert, 7–7:30 p.m.
• Evans High – winter musical theatre showcase, 7–8 p.m.

THURSDAY, DEC. 11

• Parkway Elementary – chorus concert, 6–6:30 p.m.
• Baker Place Elementary – 4th/5th grade chorus concert, 6:30–7 p.m.
• Harlem High – band concert, 7–7:30 p.m.

FRIDAY, DEC. 12

• Greenbrier Elementary – Christmas chorus concert, 9–9:30 a.m.

TUESDAY, DEC. 16

• Stallings Island Middle – winter band and choral concert, 5:30–6 p.m.
• Euchee Creek Elementary – chorus concert, 6:30–7 p.m.

THURSDAY, DEC. 18

• Lakeside High – Sounds of the Season: Strings Concert, 5:30–6 p.m.
• Blue Ridge Elementary – chorus and orff ensemble concert, 6–7 p.m.
• Evans High – jazz and percussion ensemble concert, 6–7 p.m.
