The Columbia County School District will host a job fair for bus drivers, nutrition assistants and custodians on Jan. 14 at Columbia Middle School from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Those interested in applying for bus driver positions must be at least 21 years old; pass the annual physical exam, which includes drug and alcohol screenings; have a safe driving record; and have a positive attitude toward serving Columbia County students.
Bus driver applicants must also possess a commercial driver’s license. Columbia County School District offers paid, in-house training for the commercial driver’s license for qualified applicants.
Qualified candidates will be interviewed during the job fair. Staff from the human resources, transportation, and facilities, maintenance and operations, and School Nutrition departments will be on hand to answer questions.
