Columbia County approved a full rollback of the millage rate for 2025 during the regular meeting on Tuesday.

County Manager School Johnson said the county is following the wishes of the commission with the millage rate.

“Assessments have gone out,” Johnson said. “We are establishing the millage rate. Typically, this would be the time of year we would have millage rate hearings, although we’re not required to have millage rate hearings if we rollback all the way to the rollback rate. It was the intent of the board when we did our budget this year to go to the rollback rate. You have stayed true to the promise of the taxpayers.”

The total millage rate is 4.814 mills.
